The Letter as Abstract Form Project was focused on positive and negative shapes through compositions of letter form. The project began with 125 black and white compositional iterations of 5 different letters: F, H, J, R, and W. Using the typefaces, Gill Sans Nova and Baskerville, I created 25 different compositions of each letter. After some feedback, I chose my top five, one of each letter, out of the 125 compositions. Then, I chose one of the top five to create an animated GIF. The composition I chose was the letter H because this particular composition resembled magic rings that created a story around the abstract letter form.
